Sea debris
After collecting over 150 mylar balloons from the beach during a handful of summer weeks, I decided to create something that would show just how much harm balloons are doing to the environment. This 12 foot medusa is made entirely with balloons and debris that I picked up along the wrack line at Humarock Beach in Scituate. Humarock is a clean and beautiful beach, but no beach is immune to pollution and trash discarded carelessly by people. Think again about using balloons to celebrate your occasion. Signs work! I will be happy to walk the beach and not come upon a balloon tangled in the seaweed. Join me in this quest to stop using balloons! #Ihateballoons
